Are you interested in providing a key role in supporting people with communication difficulties and looking to join a dynamic team of therapists? This is an exciting opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in relation to augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) within the Speech and Language Therapy team across a wide range of settings. We currently have a full-time permanent position to work across both our adult and paediatric services, supporting people to achieve specific goals using tools and strategies to solve every-day communicative challenges. You will work closely with Speech and Language Therapists and independently with a small delegated caseload support recognising the need for evidence based practice and carrying out delegated tasks with a negotiated level of support, direct supervision, and direction. You will be well supported by the wider team that consists of therapists and assistant practitioners. You will be fully supported by experienced therapists and be provided with regular training, formal supervision and appraisal. We work closely with colleagues in health, education and social care to provide a genuinely person-centred service in a variety of locations including hospitals, clinics, peoples own homes, community locations, nurseries and schools. The successful candidate must be able to effectively manage their own time, and demonstrate effective communication skills. Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence. Hours: 37.5 per week.
