Job Description
Job Purpose: Painting and Decorating to achieve a finish and standard acceptable to both Mitie and their clients. We have positions for both Painters and Decorators. Duties: * To be skilled, knowledgeable and competent in both external and internal painting to various surfaces. * Maintain a safe working procedure while using alloy scaffolds, ladders with safety devices and the use of safety barriers to segregate the works area in accordance company procedures. * Protect equipment, furniture, and floors by using dust sheets/polythene/tarpaulins. *You will receive training in Asbestos Awareness, Working at Height and various other mandatory Health and Safety courses, so a willingness to abide by company policies and procedures are essential. *There is also the opportunity to train in PASMA, IPAF, Wallcoverings, Ames Taping, SSSTS & SMSTS courses for suitable applicants. *You must have an appreciation and understanding of Health & Safety in the workplace. Skills/Qualifications: You must have a minimum SVQ Level 2 Painting & Decorating with 6 years' experience with checkable references - Skilled operative CSCS card is preferable but not essential. Decision Making, Initiative, Supply Management, Basic Safety, Equipment Maintenance, Thoroughness, Independence, Results Driven, Estimating, Verbal Communication, Customer Service are also required Qualifications: time served painter
