Job Description

The Tax team comprises three people, and manages a wide range of consulting and compliance processes in house; covering multiple jurisdictions and markets and complex financial products. This diverse role provides a wide range of compliance duties to manage group's tax obligations. Expected for a 12-18 month period this role will cover: * Timely submission of returns across all taxes (CT, VAT, Employment Tax) * Preparation, review and submission of UK Corporation tax returns, using tax accounting software packages * reviewing tax disclosures for accounts * Review quarterly VAT return and assisting with cross border VAT issues * Review P11Ds, ERS, PSA, advising business on short term business travel * Assist in the training and development of a junior team member. * Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation. * Assist with HMRC enquiries and audits * Deal with ad hoc queries from the business across all taxes (e.g. stamp duty and withholding tax) Skills * Proactive with a good knowledge / experience of key UK legislation across all taxes * Relevant tax qualification (e.g. CTA or ACA etc) * Minimum 5 years of experience * Ideally experience in or with financial services and some knowledge of equities and derivatives trading would be a plus * Ability to effectively multi-task and work closely with other teams especially Finance * Ability to collect and manage large amounts of data * Strong drive and ready to take a challenge * Ability to supervise and train junior staff
