HMP Erlestoke is within the Offender Health division of Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust and we are the lead provider in the Inspire Better Health Partnership which delivers Healthcare services to a group of five prisons within Bristol, South Gloucestershire and Wiltshire. Visit the Inspire Better Health Partnership website to find out more about what we do. HMP Erlestoke is a Category C male prison located near Devizes in central Wiltshire. It is within easy commute of Westbury, Warminster, Trowbridge, Chippenham, Marlborough, Melksham, Frome, Salisbury and Swindon. There is free on-site parking, a subsidised staff canteen, farm shop and gym. The Inspire Better Health team at Erlestoke provides comprehensive healthcare to over 500 men with the aim of delivering high quality and effective care equivalent to that provided in the community. We provide a wide range of services which includes primary, urgent and planned care, medicines management and mental health and substance misuse services. An opportunity has arisen for a registered pharmacy technician to join our Medicines Management team , working within the integrated Healthcare team. The pharmacy technician role is essential to the delivery of an effective medicines management service and is also critical to the smooth running of both healthcare and the prison regime. The post-holder will support the delivery of a cost effective, evidence based service that is equivalent to services provided in the community. The role supports the administration of all prescription medications and prescription pathways and the post holder will work closely with the healthcare and prison teams. If you are a resilient, compassionate healthcare professional who displays excellent communication skills and the ability to work flexibly in a challenging environment, this post may be for you. You will be able to problem solve and undertake dynamic risk assessments. You will also need to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders, including prison staff, prisoners and the wider healthcare team.
