Overview
Job Description
We are looking for people with strong communication and analytical skills who have a sound understanding of the Public Sector Internal Audit Standards. You will help the team to achieve its mission of 'enhancing and protecting organisational value by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice and insight' by providing value added services to the Council and our external clients. You will be able to: Build effective relationships with a broad range of clients and stakeholders; Help set a risk-based plan through the maintenance of assurance maps, attendance at benchmarking groups, client meetings and on-going professional development; Deliver individual audit assignments to time, quality and budget, including complex and challenging audits; and, Lead on a specialised area of the audit plan, and help in the development of staff.
