Analytical Placement Student
Overview
Job Description
The placement is within the Quality Control laboratory but could encompass experience of all aspects of manufacturing from production through to materials management and planning. This position is an opportunity for students with a scientific background to spend a year out in industry and would suit students working towards BSc in Chemistry or similar scientific disciplines. Of particular interest those those with some university Analytical Chemistry experience. The role is to provide analytical support to the Huddersfield QC team with routine chemical analysis and to and develop improvedmethods utilising modern technology and techniques. * Ability to work safely and to follow processes and procedures. * A good basic understanding of the principles of HPLC * Attention to detail * Analytical thinking * Ability to work un-supervised * Good team working and communication skills * IT skills
