Job Description
DB Charles have partnered with an incredibly successful business based in Shildon, Durham, with various sites throughout the UK, that are currently seeking to hire a new permanent member of staff as an Accounts Payable Supervisor. The business are a well known global brand within manufacturing & distribution and are looking to attract a new candidate to begin working with the business as soon as possible. The role as an Accounts Payable Supervisor, will report into the site Financial Controller and sit amongst 4 other members of staff in the department, plus be a part of a wider UK finance function of 12 people. The hired candidate will essentially be responsible for maintaining accurate Accounts Payable ledgers, plus in the long run, working closely with the senior leadership team to implement process improvements to help push the business and finance department forward. The role holds a variety of duties and responsibilities including but not limited to: * Maintaining accurate AP ledgers * Working with, establishing and maintaining strong supplier relationships * Accounts Payable analysis and reporting * Accruals * Prepayments * Invoice documentation * Account reconciliations * Query handling * Month & year end duties * Process analysis and improvement Ideally the client is looking for CV's and to interview candidates with the following skill sets: * Extensive experience working within Accounts Payable / Purchase Ledger * Previous people management / mentoring experience * Strong system skills, preferably with ERP systems such as Hyperion & Epicor * Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills * Strong time management skills * Excellent ability to multi task * Pressure handling skills * Process improvement and implementation background * Ability to commit to a permanent role based in Shildon, Durham The role will be working Monday to Friday with working hours of 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday to Thursday and Fridays 8:30am to 4:30pm.
