RotaCloud is a growth stage technology company based in the heart of York, providing rota management software to more than 3000 businesses and over 100,000 users across the UK and worldwide. We're looking for an experienced UX designer to take a key role in our Product team. We are looking for a lead UX designer with the expertise to help guide the team forward as we build the world's best scheduling solution. You'll create both functional and appealing features that address our customers' needs and will work closely with the company founders to drive the vision, strategy and roadmap for your team. What's in it for you? * * A competitive salary * Flexible working hours * 30 days holiday (this includes Bank Holidays and increases with length of service) * 2 extra paid days off between Christmas and New Year. * 500 per year to spend on learning anything you want to! * Daily 'Fika' time * Private health insurance (Vitality) * Perks at Work - discounts at over 30,000 brands * Cycle to Work and Tech scheme * Team meals and socials events What you'll be doing * Work cross-functionally with Product and Development to represent the UI/UX design team, facilitate design discussions, and give feedback in planning and product channels. * Collaborate closely with the company founders to define your features and contribute to the overall direction of the product. * Partner with Development to ensure that our implementation and user experience is of high-quality. * Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps * Create and iterate on features that drive an understanding of how to use RotaCloud successfully. * Develop UI mockups and wireframes that clearly illustrate layout and functionality * Solicit feedback from your peers, including other product designers and teammates in the wider team. * Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness) * Adhere to style standards on fonts, colours and images * Work in close collaboration with the company founders to inform and improve design processes. * Mentoring junior UI/UX designers and assisting in the growth and development of the Product and UI/UX team. What we're looking for * Proven work experience as a Senior/Lead UI/UX Designer or similar role * Portfolio of design projects * Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Wireframe.cc and InVision) * Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Sketch * Strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders * Good time-management skills * Experience working in Agile environments Bonus points for * Experience conducting and gathering user research and analysing data to inform design decisions. * Experience mentoring/managing a small team Employment Type: FULL_TIME
