Company:Guy Carpenter Description: Regional Tech Liaison (EMEA)- London, Witham or Liverpool What you can expect: * You will be operating within the Infrastructure Services team, a part of Guy Carpenter Information Technology (GCIT) * This is a new role in the UK working alongside peers globally where you arepart of a high level operation, playing a strategic part in delivering projects, refining support processes and managing business/IT relationships * In your first 3 months you will undertake key training on service improvement plans and be trained by peers and management,developingcommunications and managing key issues * Meeting key stakeholders and senior business leads,creating long term relationships, understanding challenges to assist with improvements What is in it for you? * Working within a role that will give you the opportunity for personal growth working with the latest industry technologies, liaising with top talent whilst being empowered to aim high within a team who are passionate about the role they do * Benefits include Pension, Life and health cover, private medical, flexible benefits * Discretionary bonus * 26 days holiday * Flexible working We will count on you to: * Workproactively with Guy Carpenter IT teams and their (internal and external) partners across multiple time zones * Develop and implement Service Improvement plans (SIP)including the production of monthly reporting packs * Perform incident/problem management proactively with Guy Carpenter IT teams, internal and external vendor partners and business users * Drive the resolution of variety of critical incidents or problemsand track andreport the status to all levels of business users * Ensure ITIL best practices are followed * Provide project management leadership/support to Guy Carpenter's evolving technology modernisation projects as required * Project and Initiative reporting including, key highlights, milestone status, risk identification mitigation strategies * Work closely with Internal shared services project management office and stakeholders to provide guidance/ advice concerning all assigned projects * Create, manage and maintain strategy, standards, roadmaps and new technologies * Work in conjunction with MMC IT (MGTI) ensuring we meet published standards. Includes completing any associated paperwork and administrative tasks * Work with GC Analytics teams to develop & design workflows aligned to enhancing operational efficiencies around vendor software platforms & infrastructure usage * Understand Guy Carpenter's key business drivers demonstrating a working knowledge and synergy with the CAT modelling process * Build a working knowledge around understanding the correct application of software license and published use restrictions (contract language understanding) * Stay current with vendor product direction in order to ensure Guy Carpenter designs can be optimised in line with predicted future change What you need to have: * Significant knowledge and understanding of Azure Resource Manager implementations of both Infrastructure and Platform as a Service offerings * Extensive Azure cost management expertise inAzure Cost Analysis, Estimation of Azure services, Azure cost alerts, Azurebudgetingand reporting and governance * Strong experience working in the Insurance/Finance industry and involvement with Catastrophe Modelling tools * Prince 2 Practitioner/equivalent in project management * ITIL V3/4 Foundation * Microsoft Azure Fundamentals * Degree in IT or related industry or equivalent What makes you stand out: * Certifications: Microsoft Cloud, Microsoft Server, Microsoft SQL * Microsoft PowerBI and reporting, Microsoft Datalake * Demonstrable success workingwith senior IT and business staff * Excellent written and verbal communication skillsat all levels * Proven ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences * Ability to work independently or with limited direction GUY CARPENTER Guy Carpenter & Company, LLC is a leading global risk and reinsurance specialist with more than 3,100 professionals in over 60 offices around the world.
