Group Agency Director (6 months contract)

Job Description
We are looking for a Group Agency Director to join us for a period of 6 months starting asap. You will create and drive delivery of the Agency Hub commercial strategy through the core senior team whilst focusing on maximising revenue growth from the agency hub across all Hearst brands and properties. You will also develop with CAO successful workflow practices for Hearst responses to market. You will work in conjunction with Global Trading Director to ensure delivery and execution of agency trading deals to manage their delivery to maximize revenue, share and profitability. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Agency Revenue Growth Develop a cohesive Hearst approach to market, working with other agency hub leads and Chief Agency Officer. Set and manager clear KPI goals for immediate reports and help devise what team goals should be. Ensure direct reports are clear on KPIs to deliver the agency hub strategy. Identify revenue growth opportunities and lead team in delivering these. Maintain a constant focus on short and long term revenues. Trading Work with Global Trading Director where relevant to ensure deals are being met and feedback any challenges within contracts. Ensure team adhere to digital ratecard and make recommendations where relevant. Oversee management of value back effectively and efficiently across agency contacts whilst adhering to Digital business rules and protecting Hearst revenues. Adhere to Barter policy. People Management Develop direct reports through training and regular appraisals (min 2 x a year). Ensure effective interhub collaboration. Encourage matrix management Reporting Provide weekly reporting - Revenue vs budget, client update, wins/losses, moves, pipeline to CAO. Provide Monthly Key Account report - Spend, YoY, Visibility, sales focus. Ensure teams timely booking on Adazzle/Nexus/FatTail (within 24 hours) with relevant IO /Metis numbers. ABOUT YOU Extensive experience managing and motivating teams in a media environment be that in media owner sales or from a media agency background. In depth knowledge of print and digital opportunities in the publishing arena as well as broad understanding of the extensive media market place. Be innovative and strategic in thinking. Extensive knowledge of digital and proven track record of delivery in digital either in sales or in a media agency. Established relationships with c- level personnel within media agencies. Proven driver of yield and share increase with excellent negotiation skills. Inspirational leader with ability to positively engage and influence the team to drive collaboration.
