Maven's Risk team is innovating the way we control and monitor the trading activities across the firm. We're a team balanced with Risk experts and Developers, and deploy new systems regularly to partner with the business. This is a great opportunity for a bright individual to join an established team, and learn about the variety of trading styles we execute and strategies we employ. If you have a natural curiosity for financial market activity and a basic understanding of trading concepts, we can help develop you into a leading market Risk Analyst. As a Risk Analyst, you'll be the first-line control for risk across the business. The limits that we set to manage risk are monitored automatically by our custom risk systems. As Maven continues to grow and implement new strategies, our risk monitoring needs to expand and become increasingly sophisticated. These systems will need updating and maintaining daily by the Risk Analyst - a significant responsibility considering the volume of trades made. You don't just sit behind a screen though, it's important to get out onto the trading floor and to fully understand how Maven operates. What we are looking for: * Degree in a quantitative subject and a passion for financial markets * High attention to detail and an analytical mindset * Team player and sense of humour * Strong Python (experience with SQL is a bonus) * Experience in (or an understanding of) how to collaborate using version control * Derivatives knowledge * Econometrics / statistics modelling experience * Experience dealing with vast amounts of data
