Process Municipal Sales Consultant- UK North East
Overview
Job Description
The primary role of this position is to actively promote the company's products, services and solutions to a defined territory and customer base. * Performs all sales activity within an assigned geographic territory and customer base to meet company objectives. * Submits and implements a detailed sales action plan identifying: sales objectives, sales opportunities, major customers, and regional shows to be attended during the following fiscal year. * Participates in sales activities including: customer site visits, telephone contacts, trade seminars and shows, product demonstrations and customer seminars. * Submit annual, monthly and weekly sales forecast to UK Municipal Sales Manager. * Maintains customer activity files in Salesforce database. * Assists in maintaining a mail list for customers in the assigned territory. * Collects and reports information on all competitive activity within the assigned territory. * Maintains assigned company car in a safe and operable condition at all times. Maintains a safe driving record. * Other duties as assigned. CRITICAL SUCCESS FACTORS / COMPETENCIES: * To be able to consult our customers on remote monitoring, data analysis, error diagnosis, and parameter optimization to improve overall processes CLAROS, to create a need analysis, problem statement, value proposition and workflow solution partnering with our customers * To be confident to approach all organizational levels within our customers organization * To troubleshoot complex, customer-specific application solutions * Extensive knowledge and experience with water- and wastewater treatment processes * Ability to quickly establish significant credibility, trust and support within all levels of the organization (i.e. peers, subordinates and senior management) * Strong communication & influencing skills * High degree of commercial and technical competency. * Strong quantitative and analytical skills. Ability to analyse complicated issues and narrow down to the key points, develop action plans and bring them to a successful conclusion. The Water Solutions Specialist reports directly to the UK Municipal Sales Manager and will be part of a UK wide sales team. Internal Relationships: * UK Senior Sales Manager * UK Municipal Sales Manager * Service Manager, Service Supervisors & Regional Engineers * Technical & Customer Support Teams * Inside Sales Team & IFSS team * Senior Sales Director North Europe. External Relationships: * Product End Users * Engineers * Contractors * Government Entities * OEM's * Systems Integrators. MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE: * Achievement of sales revenue goals. * Adherence to the Danaher Core Competencies. * Prefer a BA or BSc degree in Analytical Chemistry, Biology, Environment Sciences, Engineering or equivalent experience. Alternate science degrees will be considered. * Experience in the waste water industry and general techniques and chemical procedures employed by HACH Company. * Proven track record in process sales in similar products and services. * Formal sales training is desired * Demonstrated working knowledge of Microsoft Office, and the internet. * Must have a valid and clean driver's license. * Must be willing and able to travel. SCOPE / IMPACT OF POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: This position significantly impacts the Company's ability to successfully sell instrumentation in the domestic marketplace. The Water Solutions Specialist develops and manages all of the sales channels to achieve the best penetration of instrument sale, solutionss and service within their designated area.
