Job Description
**Job location: Manchester, UK (M17 1PA)** Cargill's Manchester plant is a production facility which is key to the UK food, spirit, pharmaceutical, chemical and cosmetics industries. The plant and offices located in Manchester are part of the Cargill starches and sweeteners business which produces sweeteners, wheat protein and alcohol for customers in the confectionery, brewing, drink, dairy, farming and bakery sectors. The position holder will be based in the Process Control and Automation department support the maintenance and engineering teams with key activities. This role could suit a recent graduate with several years of work experience looking to develop in a complex manufacturing environment and be mentored by more senior engineers. **Main Tasks:** + Support the development and implementation of the automation scope for new projects and existing applications as a team member in the Process Control and Automation department + Support the development and updates of software for DCS and HMI applications + Collaborate with other departments in the execution of projects related to process control + Support reliability improvements and in the event of any changes/ modifications, ensure they follow a documented management of change process + Champion an environment of reliability excellence through support the maintenance department + Maintain DCS systems hardware and provide technical troubleshooting and loop tuning support + Partner with the Plant IT function to troubleshoot issues related to manufacturing execution systems Equal Opportunity Employer, including Disability/Vet.
