Global Sales Account Manager The Details In today's rapidly evolving media landscape, it's becoming increasingly important for us to maintain and develop deeper working relationships with our key customers and media agency partners at a Global level. Not only to ensure we maintain current levels of business, but also to grow revenue through new categories, deeper 360 partnerships and digital platform growth. Hearst is truly innovating not only in terms of our content driven partnerships but also focusing on bridging the gap between content & data driven solutions. We are pushing the boundaries in terms of providing our advertisers with premium audience engagement solutions leveraging the power of both data and technology on a Global scale. The Role The role will be focused predominantly on Agency Global partnerships to drive commercial revenue across all Hearst platforms (both Print & Digital) and products including (but not limited to) Content Partnerships, Display, Programmatic & Social. There is a definite need for strong Digital understanding to deliver required sales revenue. This role will report into 2 x Business Directors (as supports two patches) & work within Matrix Management environment. Essential Responsibilities: Revenue Growth Work with your Business Directors to execute agency strategy across your patches Identify revenue growth opportunities within agency patch Take specific responsibility for allotted clients within your patch To work with the rest of the Global Sales division to support them in selling Digital, Print & Integrated opportunities Be familiar with Hearst rate card & make recommendations where relevant Establish new Global relationships for Hearst (both agency & Client direct where applicable) Stay abreast of marketplace competition & innovations Reporting Effective use of all relevant reporting business system (primarily Salesforce) Weekly Reporting to Head of Global Sales on meetings, opportunities and activity Be accountable and able to respond immediately to current agency performance Agency Ambassador Provide excellent levels of customer service alongside relevant Global Business Director Cultivate relevant agency relationships to ensure Hearst are front-of-mind across both planning, buying and partnership/solutions teams Ensure Agency are updated on all Hearst news and initiatives Coordinate with the Global Create and operations teams to deliver best-in-class pitches and campaigns Consistently push new and innovative ideas across all relevant digital platforms and Hearst brands Ensure key business contacts are up to date and knowledgeable on the Hearst brand portfolio assuring Hearst is front of mind for planning/buying/partnership teams Exhibit a high degree of professionalism when representing Hearst, in particular through the quality of work produced, presentations made & service Hearst Ambassador Depth & understanding of all Hearst brands & their place within the Global market. Identifying & clarifying local market nuances by title Produce brand case studies around outstanding work ensuring positive results are incorporated Liaise with all departments within Hearst & seen as key person for Global agency opportunities Work in matrix style with other divisions of the business with clear brand understanding of their category (e.g. Luxury / Health & Lifestyle / Travel) Promote overall excellence across Hearst through innovation, creativity & effectiveness Key skills Knowledge of the Digital landscape e.g. Social Media, Branded Content & Programmatic Successful track record of Digital (& Print) Sales Experience in creating opportunities, closing business & negotiations within digital & print sales. Experience/knowledge of working across multi-market campaigns Thorough understanding of your agencies' and their client's businesses & share this knowledge internally where relevant (e.g. UK counterpart) Never settle attitude!
