Job Description
Agile Delivery Manager Working with our Product Management team, Quality Assurance and Development Leads, you will be responsible for transforming product vision into reality. You'll foster a culture of lean agile values and practices within the development organisation, and help the team continuously improve. You'll proactively resolve issues that would otherwise distract the Development Team from their core goals. You'll help our Development Teams organise and plan work, keep them focused on delivering high quality products in line with business priorities. Responsibilities: * Facilitate and lead agile ceremonies including team planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives and facilitate department level medium-term planning meetings * Produce departmental metrics from work tracking systems and use these to monitor and communicate project progress and forecast delivery * Facilitate cross-team and inter-departmental coordination to manage requirements, dependencies, designs, plans and acceptance of completed work to ensure successful project delivery * Coach the development teams in improving their Agile processes * Project manage operations and occasional business projects as required Key Skills: * Several years commercial experience in managing software development projects, using a variety of methodologies including Scrum and Kanban. * Experience working within a technically Agile environment that is committed to clean code, test-driven development, automation, continuous integration and delivery. * Project management and delivery experience using Lean and Agile methodologies, but with an awareness of traditional techniques such as PRINCE2 and ITIL. * Ability to build and maintain momentum for continuous delivery of valuable software to the business. * Experience working with development and test teams using highly automated code/test processes including TDD and BDD. * Data driven, you will be able to aggregate metrics and communicate them to stakeholders. Desirable Skills: * Exposure to cloud-based software development and deployment, such as Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform, G Suite, Google App Engine, Microsoft Office 365, Amazon, etc. * Product development experience, ideally with a Software as a Service (SaaS) product * Experience managing third party suppliers delivering services such as performance and penetration testing * Degree-level education - BSc/MSc level (or equivalent), ideally in Computer Science or a related engineering or numerate subject Location: The role holder will be able to work from home 1-2 days per week, with the remainder of the week working from the Central Manchester head office.
