dunnhumby is looking for a talented Software Engineering Associate to join our 2020 Graduate Programme! You will be part of shaping an innovative industry-leading data science platform for the future through active participation in the dh Graduate Programme. dunnhumby is the world's first customer data science platform and as such, the role of the Graduate is to gain full understanding and experience of different areas of dunnhumby, depending on allocated assignments. The role will support the allocated teams or managers through short projects of defined complexity over the course of an 18-month rotational programme. This programme will consist of three rotations where the final and third rotation is self-elected. What you'll be doing: * Work on assigned projects or activities of different complexity and scope within the Software Engineering Team. * Work on real life problems and create solutions and products which support our retailers. * Work as part of an amazing team to ensure project deliverables are met. * Actively develop solutions for problems of defined complexity with support from senior team members. * Where applicable, present project and findings to business leaders and make optimal recommendations. * Participate in mentoring from experienced colleagues and grow your skills and knowledge. * Actively demonstrate dunnhumby values and behaviours. What you'll need: * Hold/expect to achieve a 2.1 or equivalent in an undergraduate degree in a relevant field * Passion and interest in coding * Analytical techniques * Logical thinking methodology * Problem solving and hypothesis thinking * Communication and presentation skills * Relationship management / building A plus if you also have: * Some experience working with retail/FMCG/Technology companies * Some relevant experience in subject field
