Spotify's Payments team is responsible for managing the growth, stability and future direction of Spotify's approach to payments globally. We are now looking for an outstanding Global Payment Optimisation & Operations Lead to join our team. This role, reporting to the Global Director, Payment Partnerships and Optimisation, is a unique opportunity to make an impact on Spotify's core business by optimising an area of significant importance. You will be able to excel as a payments leader in one of the most innovative and forward thinking companies in the world. What you'll do * Work with the Global Director, to design and execute Spotify's global payments optimisation strategy, including: Ownership of global transaction routing; Identification, prioritisation and execution of optimisation initiatives; Leading our efforts to remove friction from the payments process by optimising today's offering, in order to maximise growth and retention. * Lead payment operations, including: Payment fees tracking, analysis and optimisation; Payment authorisation monitoring and anomaly resolution; Flawless execution of the payments aspects of new market launches; Operational aspects of the payments process are maximized for effectiveness and efficiency. * Manage a dedicated Senior Payments Analyst, who will support optimisation and operations activities. Lead the Recruitment of further roles as appropriate. * Work in tandem with our Payment Partnerships team to establish and implement Spotify's issuer outreach programme, driving interactions with issuers around the world to optimise our payments. * Partner with key internal collaborators e.g. Payments Strategy, Regional Markets, Customer Services, UX design, Finance, R&D, to further enhance user experience and optimise all aspects of payments. * Work either from our London, Stockholm or New York office with regular travel between company locations as required. Who you are * Substantial (7+ years) professional experience in online payments and e-commerce, with a deep knowledge of payments, ideally for a large merchant operating at global scale. * Demonstrable track record of success in optimising payments performance in an online environment. Bringing ideas and initiatives for how to apply this specifically for a subscription business. * Highly skilled at leading and executing complex projects spanning multiple stakeholders and know how to get things done in a larger organization where you are not always in direct control of all the resources and competencies to get the job done. * Ability to navigate both the business and product domain and understand the intricacies and complexities in bringing product solutions to market. * Inspirational team leader with an ability to motivate, manage and grow a high performing team. Raise the profile of payments internally. * Perceived as a highly organised and detail-oriented person with a pre-emptive, proactive approach. * Able to effectively build and lead a team of people, spread across different geographic locations. * Happy to be hands on and thrive in a fast-paced, high energy and dynamic environment. * Experienced in working collaboratively with colleagues in the tech and product domains. * You have strong interpersonal skills and care about building trust and credibility at all levels.
