Web Development Team Leader 12month Fixed Term Contract, full time 60 000 - 65 000 DOE plus company benefits London E14 Core working hours between 8.00-18.00 Mon-Fri. Various shift patterns are within this core time, details of which will be provided. Work outside these core hours may be required but will be agreed in advance. Williams Lea Tag seeks a Web Development Team Leader to join our team! The Web Developer Team Leader will be working as part of the Creative Services Group for our Client, a busy in-house design team that responds to numerous briefs daily. The team Designers, Motion Graphics and a Film and Photography team. Innovation is a key aspect of the team, with the client actively encouraging new ideas, software and solutions. Any member of the team must be forward thinking with the ability to change and develop as required. The team are involved in a wide variety of projects ranging from event and campaign material to website designs and digital animation. Sound good so far? The Job: The individual's primary responsibility will be The Web Developer TL will be expected to work collaboratively alongside the client, members of the Web Development Team, the Creative Director and Management Team, to drive quality and creativity and to help inspire and innovate the creative service offered to the client. They will provide direction and guidance to the other members of the WD team to help achieve these aims. They will also have Line Management responsibilities for the WD team. They will work closely alongside the Creative Services Manager to ensure all processes and procedures are in place to ensure the smooth running of the department. They will be expected to oversee all Web Development work that enters the studio and have the ability to prioritise and organise resource to ensure that client deadlines and expectations are met and maintained. This includes resource from the wider WLT network. Attending client briefings and producing estimates and proposals are all important parts of the role. The role requires a high level of understanding and anticipation of the clients' needs and expectations. The TL will have a creative focus and be driven to produce high-quality deliverables and solutions within the client brand guidelines. The role will involve the creation of design material in the Client brand using the Creative Suite software packages. The Fit: To be successful in this role, you will be confident to: * Carry out WD team performance reviews and personal development plans * Carry out day to day management of the Web Development team, including HR responsibilities for the team such as reviews, sickness and holidays etc. * Ensure fully conversant with each team member's strengths and skill levels * Design and UX, front end development of user-friendly user interfaces * Lead on the technical development, design and build of web applications to support a range of digital products and services * Work with managers and account director to obtain necessary resources to support the team's requirements * Negotiate and manage deadlines * Provide quotes of time and cost estimates for jobs * Develop and share best practice and working knowledge with team members * Set and communicate standards for the team * Ensure all quality review checklist are completed and standards are maintained * Strong job and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks or projects and prioritise accordingly * Take briefs from clients whilst advising them on the best technical solution whilst educating and influencing clients to choose effective and functional designs and deliverables within their timeframes * Excellent communications skills with the ability to liaise at all levels (client, team, manager and IT) * Follow standards, UX/UI and digital guidelines for branded materials * Keep abreast of digital media trends, technologies and developments to share new ideas to the team and client * Familiarise the team with the customer needs, specifications, design targets, the development process, design standards, techniques and tools to support task performance * Coordinates meetings with the project manager and management to discuss project impediments, needed resources or issues/delays in completing the task * Understand and anticipate clients' needs and expectations * Innovative with the ability to implement problem solving initiatives * Keen and eager to learn and develop new skills to support the growth of the team * An active interest in new industry trends, emerging technologies and innovation * Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail *
