Job Description
Our client, one of the UK's leading retailers are looking for an Online Fraud and Payments Analyst to join the team in London. The team play a key role in identifying Fraud, and combating Risks from transactions online and elsewhere. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Review suspicious, flagged transactions, payments and orders on the customer management, eCommerce system Manually monitor transactions, payments of high risk, high value purchases Process will involve calling liaising with customers, fraud counterparts at banks, payments, credit card companies, law enforcement to protect all parties from fraud, fraud risks Evaluate fraud risk and take appropriate action, judging the evidence, weighing up facts and using experience and judgement on potentially fraudulent activity Use SQL, Excel and similar analytical tools to identify fraud trends Identify patterns within fraudulent activity to expose fraud rings and other threats to the group Beyond identification, fully investigate high risk transactions, high value frauds Liaise with the police regarding fraudulent transactions, fraud rings and relevant fraud risks Review bank charge backs, and challenge where appropriate Work to develop methods of risk mitigation, fraud prevention-continually monitor and improve fraud prevention methods Ensure fraud prevention does not impact negatively on customer service, experience and delivery times Work alongside the Customer Service team regarding payment issues and any suspicious transactions, orders which could be fraud, be at risk of fraud SKILLS & EXPERIENCE Previous Experience in a anti-fraud, online fraud prevention/analysis/investigation environment. Good overall knowledge of payment gateways. Experience in manually monitoring, checking and investigating transactions (not purely using automated monitoring tools) Experience in high risk analysis, high value transaction monitoring Proficient in SQL and Advanced Excel with strong analytical skills Previous use of online fraud software (3rd Man, Cybersource, RED). Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise work effectively. Strong communication and organisation skills. Good attention to detail. Confident and able to work as part of a team.
