We are looking to grow our bank register at our A2C service in Exeter, where you will join our friendly and inspiring team as a Bank Wake Night Support Worker. Your role will be a bank position working as and when required based in the service. Your shifts will be working from 8pm to 8.15am however you will need to be able to work flexibly as other shifts may be available and you will be working as part of the rota. Our Alternative 2 Care service provides housing support for up to 15 individuals with low to medium support needs who are leaving a hospital or residential setting. We provide individualised support which is funded by the Devon Partnership Trust. We work closely with the people who use the service to ensure the support they receive is of the highest quality and is right for them. We aim to encourage people to manage and control they own recovery as much as possible. Who are we? We're Rethink Mental Illness, a leading charity provider of mental health services in England. What will you be doing? You will be supporting someone in their daily activities to enable them to maximise their independence, this can involve things like, * Providing encouragement with household tasks such as laundry, cooking and cleaning * Supporting to learn new skills and achieve dreams and ambitions * Assisting people to pursue their interests and hobbies * Working with other mental health professionals and the family/friends of the person being supported * Provide encouragement to recognise, understand and manage factors that affect mental wellbeing and physical health Do you have what we are looking for? * Excellent communication * Highly organised * Ability to build positive relationships Ideally, we would like you to have some experience or understanding of Mental Health however Support Work isn't all about qualifications.
