About the role Senior Analyst, Data Governance, Warwick, Permanent The purpose of the role is to provide the co-ordinated reporting of data maturity across the UK and US businesses and data domains in addition to supporting the establishment and maintenance of the IT Asset Data Domain. This will include reporting against agreed data KPI's, support in the development of the data assurance programme and monitor the plans / actions in place driving improvements. The role holder will draw insights from regional plans / data domains and local data governance teams, highlighting key themes for action and intervention by the IT leadership team. Within the IT Asset domain, the role holder will support the creation and maintenance of the core data artefacts across the domain. The role will have significant impact on the continued accuracy or tracking of data maturity across the organisation. The role will work across the data governance teams in the UK and US. The role will be based in Warwick but may require travel to other offices as required. About you You will work with the Head of Planning and Performance to develop new and existing metrics to track achievements of key outcomes and objectives in adherence to the Data BMS standards, and support in the oversight, development and monitoring of Data maturity levels across the business. You'll also maintain and operate core processes within the Data Governance Office to support the governance framework, communities of practice and supporting data communities, by: * Owning and operating the Monthly Data Assurance programme working with the Data Governance Managers to setup sessions, input into reviews and overseeing a suite of management and performance reports / dashboards. * Working with local and regional Data governance teams in the implementation of data governance artefacts and templates in line with Data BMS standards and legal obligations * Owning and maintaining (with support of IT Data SMEs) the core data artefacts such as Data models, Business Glossary, RACIs etc. in accordance with established processes and governance. * Working with multiple stakeholders from across the IT business, managing sometimes conflicting expectations, escalating issues to the Head of Planning and Performance for resolution where appropriate. * Operating the change control processes within the Data governance framework to maintain integrity and accuracy of the IT Data domain * Developing and monitoring Data Quality metrics to support the improvement in business-critical IT data About us National Grid touches the lives of almost everyone in the UK, with an energy network that stretches across the Atlantic.
