Job Description
Plant Manager We are currently looking to recruit a Plant Manager for one of our main manufacturing facilities within Europe. This is a key, strategic position, with responsibility for the general supervision of all phases of plant operations, supporting strategic growth whilst driving productivity improvement. Reporting directly to the Global Refinish Supply Chain and Manufacturing Director, you will demonstrate a strong customer focus mentality, outstanding communication skills, and be established in inspiring change, bringing the best market practices in to operations whilst at all times driving the execution of the Refinish strategy. You will be at the helm of a motivated and engaged site leadership organisation who are passionate about leading the site continually forwards through employee led improvements. Key Responsibilities * Direct responsibility for operations, providing leadership in both quality and process improvement whilst maintaining a safe and healthy environment in compliance with all regulations and PPG Standards in the EHS area. * Driving productivity improvements; allocating human and equipment resources, directing production employees to ensure the attainment of all established goals. * Controlling expenses to ensure budget compliance. * Leading change, building an "excellence culture" within the plant and ensuring engagement and motivation across the whole site. Qualifications * Be degree educated in an Engineering field or equivalent, with significant experience of broad organisational practices across several different operational areas. Alternatively you will have mastery of a specific professional field within a function. * Possess knowledge of Production and Supply Chain, cost control, housekeeping, Quality and EHS. * Have a knowledge of B2C or B2B2C's customers and market rules. * Demonstrate the ability to make decisions, handle complexity and build strong working relationships through trust and respect. * An excellent team player, you will develop others and promote professional growth. * Be fluent in English. Proficiency in another European language would be a plus. * Be available to move across other plants if requested.
