This is a key role which will deputies for the Head of Financial Services and will provide opportunities for Board visibility. The Trust has just implemented a new finance system and this role will be fundamental to embedding the system and helping to realize the potential benefits. The Financial Accountant's primary purposes are to maintain robust financial controls, manage the Trust's Financial Accounts technical team (including capital accounting and systems support), to work across a range of technical accounting areas and to champion financial governance through the creation of procedures and through providing advice and guidance. The 'ideal' candidate We are looking for a motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills, to be used in advising and engaging colleagues across the Trust. Specific experience in NHS financial accounts and Oracle systems is advantageous. We are interested in candidates with strong technical skills, with an eye for detail, and an aptitude for developing and documenting systems/processes. A commitment to self and team development is key along with a focus on quality outputs.
