Regional Procurement Manager Equinix is looking for a driven and motivated individual who is passionate about being part of the success of a rapidly growing organization. To support our growth, Equinix is building a Regional Procurement team and we are looking for an individual with a proven track record in procurement of mechanical and electrical packages within construction projects. The role involves strong engagement with cross functional stakeholders to obtain sponsorship and 'buy' into the regional/global category sourcing plan with demonstrable business benefits, whilst leading initiatives and driving deadlines. Responsibilities included (but not limited to): Project Oversight * Responsible for regional procurement project deliverables and acts as the first point of supplier commercial escalation for project team, communicating variances, risks and opportunities * Proactively plans, and monitors regional project supply side elements from start to completion (e.g., sets deadlines, assigns responsibilities, monitors and summarizes progress of project, conducts meetings) to ensure on-time delivery * Coordinates project budget preparation * Manages major project/program scope, schedule, resource and budget changes, risks, and issues * Experience in procurement of mechanical and/or electrical equipment * Data centre construction experience and knowledge would be desirable Cost Reduction: * Identify and negotiate improvements in line with Global Category Sourcing Strategy and related processes * Apply best practice to eliminate unnecessary duplication and complexity across multiple Products/ Solutions * Implement Total Cost of Ownership improvements across relevant MCE category * Leveraging project pipelines with core suppliers to generate cost savings and rebates Business Partnering: * Proactively engage and collaborate with business team stakeholders as a commercial and schedule specialist in mechanical and/or electrical equipment * Gain Stakeholder support and approval on target approach. Seek opportunities to build effective stakeholder relationships on behalf of the team * Communicate extensively with internal and external stakeholders * Support business understanding of procurement processes and governance, and develop stakeholder knowledge of function and manage expectations * Recommend enhancements to relevant process and systems Operations & Project Management: * Manage project programme to ensure on-time and on-budget regional supplier performance * Adminstrate RFx consistent with global category strategy * Prioritizes enhancements to the end to end process and systems Supplier Management: * Understanding of contract administration and negotiation fundamentals with a focus on commercial and operational priorities * Responsible for relevant Regional Supplier Relationships and Supplier Performance ranking. Create and maintain long-term partnerships with suppliers and manufacturers to foster two-way feedback (Supplier Relationship Management) * Actively manage and optimize supplier performance, including continuous improvement in quality, service, and delivery, integrating innovations, obsolescence and reduction in total cost of ownership. Share Intelligent Sourcing data and Supplier Delivery & Relationship Performance with Stakeholders. * Host and lead regular supplier business reviews Risk Management: * Proactively engage with supply chain to highlight potential risks and develop mitigation strategies * Align strategy with Enterprise Risk Management policy. * Report clearly and effectively to senior management KPIs: * Track target deliverables and ensures KPIs are in place for suppliers consistent with the contract * Manage suppliers created / de-activated, supplier relationship performance, cost savings, and cash release. * Provides monthly reports
