Overview
Job Description
Our client are a leading international information provider in energy and commodity markets; the data and price reports they provide being invaluable across industry. They are looking to hire a Compliance professional to manage internal assurance and ensure rigorous, best in class practises and procedures are adhered to in a fast moving, non-regulated competitive environment. Key responsibilities Perform daily reviews of key market reporting processes including review of the Key Assessment Database; prepare reports and maintain records Review daily corrections and market liquidity reports, highlighting relevant issues to management Work as part of the Compliance team in completing Compliance, Risk Audits across various locations; reporting on findings, suggesting and tracking follow up actions Liaise with External Audit firms conducting the Assurance Review according to IOSCO principles to schedule meetings, provide internal communications and deliver necessary documentation, guidance and training Take a lead on ensuring a follow up on action items agreed by the Group Compliance Committee Draft risk control documentation and ensure consistency with relevant manuals, recommending process improvements where appropriate Develop and monitor internal control procedures and ensure they meet with relevant legislation globally Support the Compliance Officer in education and training programmes on compliance issues Develop strong working relationships and communication channels with key stakeholders across the business Skills and Experience Educated to degree level Audit, Compliance, Finance and Risk qualifications highly desirable Experience of process audit / quality management and assurance eg. SOX Market Risk, Liquidity Risk Management experience is highly desirable Understanding of energy and commodity markets and commodity trading Strong communications skills with effective relationship building skills for internal and external contacts Strong Excel experience including analysing complex spreadsheets This is a wonderful opportunity for an experienced Compliance, Risk Professional with specialist knowledge of international energy and commodity markets to join a fast growing, internationally renowned commodity pricing information provider.
