IT Manager Peter Vardy Head Office, Eurocentral DOE, Bonus + Company Car Travel across sites will be required At Peter Vardy, our Information Technology is a key component in the engine room of the company, providing a full range of IT software products and IT support services to all our Partners. We're continually pushing new frontiers in our technological development, all in pursuit of our vision of being the best place to work and the best place to buy. To help us to enhance and evolve our digital strategy, we are looking to appoint an IT Manager to strengthen the existing IT team. We're looking for someone who can exhibit a strong common sense and pragmatic approach, sound judgement and hands-on technical expertise. What you will be doing * Manage IT / digital initiatives to align them with the long-term Group strategy set by the Commercial Director and wider Board * Provide operational leadership and structure to the IT team based on the creation and application of quality processes and controls * Manage the successful implementation of all plans and initiatives to ensure compliance with company procedures / policies and industry standards * Liaise with stakeholders and branch staff to ensure continued satisfaction with IT service delivery * Direct and guide the IT team in terms of daily operational activities and Identify training requirements to ensure IT team capable of meeting the continual challenges of a growing and evolving business * Establish sensible and practical Service Level Agreements between IT and the business to achieve service objectives and targets * Perform full risk management activities in conjunction with the IT Director on all IT projects, operational systems and digital initiatives * Assist in the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) governing IT systems operations and support * Implementation of information security policies and procedures to minimise risk to data and protect against potential data breaches * Operational management of the organisations voice and data infrastructure (servers, data network, telephony and PC estate) * Ensuring the ongoing security of all our servers and systems, particularly around data security in databases & fileservers Key Technical & Personal Skills: * Demonstrate an abundance of strong leadership and technical skills * Demonstrate previous success in large scale multi-project management experience * Demonstrate experience of Board Level strategic discussions and proposal delivery * Demonstrate successful handling of critical infrastructure outages * Excellent understanding of network WAN / LAN, Wireless, firewall / security technologies * Excellent Microsoft Active Directory / Windows Server / MS Exchange / Office 365 * Exposure to PowerBI highly desirable * Experience of medium to large data and voice network deployments * Exposure to ISO 27001/9001 auditing highly desirable * Solid understanding of server technologies and storage area networks * Understanding of SQL Server and data feeds highly desirable * Ability to personally manage an ever-changing software environment effectively * Ability to work effectively as a team but manage own time and deliverables successfully * Ability to manage multiple support contracts and SLA requirements Key benefits- The Peter Vardy difference * Industry leading compensation package- you are in control of your own earnings * Discounts on new and used cars * Contributory pension scheme * 32 days holiday * Award winning In-house and manufacturer training * Great career development opportunities If you would love to be part of our Peter Vardy family, please APPLY now with an up to date copy of your CV.
