We're looking for talented people who share our passion for data to join our team and seize these opportunities with us. www.datais.energy Position purpose We need quality data that is centrally managed. We rely on business analysts to centralise our data, streamline processes and maintain governance. We look to them to lead on best practice and think beyond the present. As a business analyst within our data function you will work as part of our Data Delivery vertical, manage existing and new data sources; establish and maintain clear data governance across EDFT and drive best practice by sharing lessons from market leaders within and outside of our industry. You will help to drive the centralisation of our data and project manage the delivery of all data to the end consumers. All about you You have the skills and ability to: * Work directly with the business teams and to communicate effectively with different levels and disciplines within the organisation * Drive change to business practices by working effectively with all levels of users, looking to automate and streamline processes where possible, whilst retaining high levels of operational control. * Drive process change and to encourage and influence users to adapt to these changes. You are also: * Highly motivated to complete projects and 'go the extra mile' to achieve positive outcomes for the business. * A very proactive individual able to handle multiple projects/work packages simultaneously Great if you also: * Have a background in data. Development / programming skills not required but the ability to understand technical concepts and communicate fluently about them with other members of the data function would be useful. Technical requirements * Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite * Experience analysing and manipulating data in excel * Proficient running SQL queries
