Mining Plus is currently seeking a Principal Resource Geologist to join our Bristol office. You will apply your Resource Geology experience to provide recommendations to Mining Plus clients and projects across a variety of commodities. It is essential that the applicant is a seasoned professional with extensive mine geology, resource development and resource estimation experience, and exposure to the consulting environment will be beneficial. The role is full-time, based out of Bristol, United Kingdom primarily covering the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. Domestic and international travel is a requirement of this role. Please apply via our Mining Plus Careers Page - Duties Include: Project Management and leadership of geological studies Participate in Due Diligence and Audit projects Mineral Resource estimation including sign-off as Competent/Qualified Person Business development and proposals preparation Training and systems implementations Cross-functional liaison with other disciplines (eg: Geotechnical, Metallurgical, Engineering) to produce maximum value-add outcomes for clients Business improvement projects Mentoring team members Desired Skills and Experiences: Excellent written and verbal communication skills Relevant tertiary qualifications in Geology A minimum of 15 years relevant experience A proven track record in mine geology or near-mine exploration Experience in geological interpretation and 3D modelling High level of competence in Geostatistical Analysis Experience in the Estimation of Mineral Resources Experience in multiple deposit and mineralisation styles Experience managing technical and operational teams Mineral Resource estimation and sign-off ability under JORC and NI 43-101 Highly attuned due diligence skills for exploration, development and operations Peer review and technical guidance for team members The ability to allocate work to team members Advanced competency in the use of geological software packages such as Datamine, LeapFrog, Vulcan, Surpac etc. The ability to work autonomously Highly developed business acumen and professional network Most importantly: proactivity, energy and will to learn About Mining Plus Mining Is Awesome We have a passion for our great industry, the inspiring people within it and the amazing projects we get to work on.
