Job Description

A great opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Support Worker to join an experienced team at Greenways Assessment & Treatment Unit in Macclesfield, Cheshire. Greenways is a purpose built 12 bedded unit which caters for adult patients who have a learning disability. The Clinical Support Worker (CSW) will be responsible for assisting qualified staff in the provision of physical and psychological care to patients. The CSW will carry out duties as designated by the nurse in charge and report on the patient's condition to qualified staff. They will maintain the orderliness, hygiene and safety of the ward environment; and will be required to undertake basic routine clerical duties. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to build relationships with both colleagues and patients. Ideally you will have experience within a care or mental health setting, however this is not essential. As the ward is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, the 11.5 hour shifts will include both days and nights (Days 07:30-20:00 and Nights 19:30-08:00) In return CWP offers a competitive salary, NHS Pension, sector leading training opportunities and an attractive benefits packages.
