Job Description
This is a newly created post to provide Neuropsychology Services within the East Cheshire Integrated Community Stroke Rehabilitation Team. The successful candidate will be employed through Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust's Acquired Brain Injury Service to provide neuropsychology through a service level agreement on a three year rolling contract. We are therefore looking for a confident and experienced individual to help develop this new and exciting role. The successful candidate with be experienced in working with people following a stroke, and their families within a multidisciplinary setting. Applicants with highly developed skills in neuropsychological assessment and intervention are invited to apply. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in delivering individual therapy, and helping non-psychology team members work with people who have experienced a stroke. They will be required to provide consultation and training in neuropsychological rehabilitation to support the development of skills within the team. Regular supervision will be provided by either the 8D or 8C Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist within the ABI service. This role is suitable for an experienced 8A looking to develop in their career or someone already in an 8B role who would like the challenge of developing the service. The role will require you to travel extensively around the community settings within East Cheshire. Travel to Chester will also be required.
