Job Purpose To provide an administrative financial service for assigned Account Groups / Clients to meet Agency Work-in-Progress (WIP), billing, and credit control in accordance with relevant accounting standards and internal policies. Duties and Responsibilities Understanding the Agency Understand the responsibilities and workings of relevant agency departments in terms of their role to assigned clients' business and processes. Understand assigned clients' terms of business. Understand relevant business policies and accounting standards (particularly with regard to WIP and revenue recognition). Work In Progress Management (WIP) Ensure timely financial management for WIP (including external cost and time) & billing in accordance with Clients' terms of business. To include regular (at least once monthly) meetings with account teams to ensure production jobs are managed so that: 3rd-party costs are billed and recovered accordingly. over-runs are mitigated and managed appropriately. reconciliations are completed in a timely manner. completed jobs are closed in a timely manner. Credit Control Manage the debtor accounts for prescribed clients ensuring that: monies are collected as prescribed in client agreements. queries are resolved, in conjunction with relevant internal teams, in a timely fashion. prescribed credit limits are monitored and any overages are highlighted to the FC & CFM early on in order to enable action. Other Support Senior Business Partner & Business Partner in providing finance assistance to the business for assigned clients, ensuring information is effectively communicated and discussed with account teams to facilitate and drive business efficiencies and improvements. Assist with the preparation of monthly reports for submission to unit / department managers and to group controller teams. To support the achievement of administrative excellence in the business via: utilisation of technology to drive provision of efficient and effective information. proactive action on relevant information. From time to time the Company will require modifications within the roles and responsibilities of this position. There may be additional duties assigned by the Company at any time. Skills and Abilities: Previous experience within the advertising industry would be an advantage but not a necessity. Self-starter who sets high personal standards & takes personal responsibility for delivering first class service and product A keen eye for detail and an approach that is both organised and questioning are pre-requisites. Analytical thinking: the ability to collate and analyse data and identify issues and clear action for resolution. Methodical and organised approach to work Candidate should be proficient is the use of outlook, excel and word Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in a way that is both impactful and easily understandable by a financial and non-financial audience Ability to interact and engage with business colleagues and adopt a collaborative approach to problem solving Experience and Knowledge: Experience of SAP or other similar ERP system would be a distinct advantageous. Experience of providing business unit financial support.
