Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, motivated, passionate and enthusiastic nurse wishing to develop their leadership skills as a Band 6 Sister/ Charge Nurse within the Endocrinology setting. You will also gain experience in caring for patients with a wide variety of other medical conditions along with complex discharges. You must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proactive and innovative management style, anticipating and dealing with issues constructively within the multidisciplinary team setting. You must be flexible in your approach to the role and respond appropriately to the demands of an ever changing workload. You will have proven organizational skills with evidence of taking frequent charge of a ward. You will have demonstrated leadership skills with a passion to bring about genuine and meaningful change. You will support and train our junior staff, new starters and agency staff while acting as a role model, and providing the clinical skills and expertise required for an acute ward. Ward 7 is committed to genuine and lasting improvement and demands exceptional standards of care. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting the band 7 with the continuous improvement of the department, effectively monitoring and maintaining excellent standards of care that are reflected by patient experience. You must have a genuine interest in driving the ward forward and assisting in the ward achieving its overall goals.
