We'd love to hear from you. IT at Tessian We're looking for an IT Manager to help us keep IT at Tessian driving forward. This is a unique opportunity to refine, and implement our IT stack. You'll report to our CFO & be comfortable exploring and implementing new technical solutions to manage our rapidly growing IT estate. At Tessian our priority will always be security, but we're looking for someone with the instinct to walk the fine line between security and usability. Our current state of the union: * c 140 UK staff (demised UK office) and c 20 staff in San Francisco (shared or serviced offices) * Computing: Mac (75%) Linux (15%) and Windows (10%) * Telephony & AV: iPhones & Zoom * Predominantly cloud-based: GSuite, AWS, Spoke ticketing, & cloud-based MDMs & password managers The role involves: * Designing and deploying IDS, firewall and patch management systems * Building out our VPN infrastructure to allow secure access for our employees * Implementing pragmatic & solid IT and Information Security best practices, and monitoring and overseeing their implementation * Managing our IT estate & ensuring delivery of service desk responsibilities * Owning IT audits * IT training & on-boarding * Working with Sales & Customer Success to answer customer security queries * Liaising with our Platform/DevOps team to ensure secure good production hygiene Why we believe this role is so exciting: * Fast paced environment, with fast scale, iteration and implementation * Full support from the business and your colleagues * Challenge of maintaining parity across Mac, Linux and Windows We'd love to meet someone who: * Has 5+ years experience as an IT manager. * Is comfortable (or willing to get comfortable) working across Mac, Linux and Windows. * Ideally has some scripting skills * Ideally has some AWS skills Why we think you'll love it here: * You'll work alongside amazing, high-performing colleagues * We offer a competitive salary and equity options with every role, with annual salary reviews. * Everyone gets 25 days of paid annual leave (33 days including bank holidays) * Company contributions are made towards your pension * Class pass subsidy * You'll get a high quality MacOS tech kit to work on * One week of remote working from abroad per year * We have regular communal company lunches, and regular team socials and activities * Fully stocked kitchen with plenty of office snacks including fruit, nuts, bread, cereals, and amazing coffee * We offer a cycle to work scheme, & eye-care vouchers. * Parents and carers are guaranteed one day per week of work-from-home, and we'll give you an extra day of annual leave to take your child to their first day of nursery and primary school. * If you're coming from abroad, we'll provide relocation assistance.
