Job Description

We are looking for a physiotherapist with proven interest skills in managing patients with long term respiratory conditions to join our established, dynamic and enthusiastic multi-disciplinary team here in Tower Hamlets. The Adult Respiratory Care and Rehabilitation Team (ARCaRe) is an integral part of Bart's Health Respiratory Medicine Specialist Service and is supported by a Respiratory Physician and Clinical Lead. We provide a Service to patients in Tower Hamlets who live with chronic lung disease (COPD, Asthma, IPF, bronchiectasis etc.). The Team is truly multidisciplinary, with Nurses, Physiotherapists, Home Oxygen Specialist, Occupational Therapist, Clinical Psychology, Respiratory Physiologist, Dietician, Bengali Speaking Rehab Support workers, and Respiratory Consultant support. The post would suit a physiotherapist with appropriate clinical experience of working in the Respiratory field with a passion to further their experience in a friendly, supportive environment. Community experience would be an advantage but not essential. Candidates without the required experience will be considered for a developmental Band 5 role initially. It is anticipated that you will be given opportunities to develop high level skills in a structured way to our key respiratory pathways, providing you with the necessary skills to further your career in the future: * Home Oxygen, * Admission avoidance and supported discharge, * Inpatients, * Cardiopulmonary rehab (currently working towards National accreditation), including Post COVID-19 rehabilitation * Enhanced care for complex patients with respiratory disease who are often approaching end of life. We have strong professional links with GP's and support delivery of the Borough wide comprehensive Care Package for COPD. We also work closely with our Therapy inpatient colleagues. The post holder will have specific responsibilities which will be decided upon based on experience. The post holder would need to support 7 day service provision.
