Patient Advisor (Medical Receptionist) An exciting opportunity has arisen to join us at Jedburgh Medical Practice as a Patient Advisor (Medical Receptionist). We are looking for applicants with excellent communication skills to join our team working to meet the high demands of the general practice environment. Duties include telephone answering, sign-posting of patients to the correct medical professional, making appointments, processing prescriptions, data input, registering new patients and other administrative work if required. An ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team is essential. Knowledge of EMIS and docman systems would be an advantage but not essential. Job Title: Patient Advisor (Medical Receptionist) Contract Type: Permanent Hours: Part time (21 hours per week) Location: Jedburgh Health Centre, Queen Street, TD8 6EN Closing Date: Tuesday 30th June 2020 Salary: £9.68-£10.60 per hour depending on experience Reporting To: Practice Manager, Jedburgh Medical Practice About Us We are a friendly, organised and caring practice serving the pleasant market town of Jedburgh. Currently our list size is 6,700 patients. Our friendly and efficient office team employ Workflow Optimisation and Care Navigation. Our clinical team has 5 GPs and an excellent extended Primary Care Team including 2 ANPs, First Contact Physiotherapist, Pharmacist and Lifestyle Advisor.
