York Teaching Hospital Foundation Trust are looking to recruit dynamic, motivated and enthusiastic Staff Nurses, with a passion for delivering high quality care, within the community setting of our rehabilitation hospitals across York, Easingwold and Selby. * Selby Inpatient Unit * St Monicas * St Helens * White Cross Court Working within a ward environment, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team working to support patients in becoming independent, with the end goal being for them to return to their own home or appropriate environment. Working alongside the medical team, you will engage in regular board rounds and multidisciplinary team meetings, to ensure patients regain their optimum level of independence. You will work closely with other community colleagues, and will be expected to develop a sound knowledge of what services are available in the community setting, to support patients to become independent on their discharge. Our approach to rehabilitation is through goal setting and enablement, and the patient is firmly at the centre of our care. Our mission statement is to ensure patients reach their optimum rehabilitation goals, by ensuring they are at the centre of their care planning. We're looking for nurses with enthusiasm, strong communications skills and who are driven to provide the best possible levels of care for patients and relatives, in line with our vision for care in our localities. A prior understanding of Rehabilitation Hospital nursing is desirable, but not essential, as full training will be provided.
