Job Description
The production operator will take responsibility for a straightforward product production line to be initiated in the Glasgow office of the Microbiology and Diagnostics Business Area. Following transfer of this production line from Bruker-Hain in Nehrenm the Production Operator be required to perform basic filling duties for diagnostic regeant kits, and be responsbile for product labelling, kit packing, stock maintenance, storage and shipping. The job will be somewhat physical as it requires movement of significant liquid volumes and finshed kits, as well some packing for shipping that will involve preparing palletised shipments. The Production Operator will responsible for: - Receiving partially finished products from internal suppliers, and raw materials from external suppliers, and performing the relevant incoming good checks and stock management steps. - Performing simple filling duties using an automated pump set-up to prepare bottles of sterilised water for inclusion in finished kits - Labelling all partially finished materials - Packing finished reagent kits with appropriate kit labelling - Completion of all appropriate work instructions - Moving kits to warehouse and preparing small and palletised packages for shipment College or University educated, preferably in a scientific subject. High quality degree not essential. Experience working in a cleanroom or other controlled environment would be an advantage, as would experience working within a documented Quality Management System, preferably ISO13485. However, a pro-active, problem solving attitude and willingness to be involved in a multitude of different tasks to contribute to the success of the business is an important factor.
