JOB- Production Engineer LOCATION- Glasgow TERM- Permanent SALARY- £27,000 - £ 33,000 per annum plus benefits (dependent on experience) We are looking for Production Engineer. The production engineer works alongside production staff, developing, installing, and procuring equipment used in the manufacturing process. Production Engineer will be working to develop and improve manufacturing processes by applying continuous improvement and other engineering techniques. The Production Engineer will ideally have the following attributes: HNC, HND, Degree or master’s in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or electrical engineering Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written Be self-motivated and have a positive attitude Good problem-solving skills. computer skills and good decision-making abilities Understand manufacturing processes and lean manufacturing principles The Production Engineer role will involve: Design, implement and control all processes in the assembly/manufacture of products Specify, procure, install and oversee factory equipment and machinery used in the production process. Create update and maintain bills of material, routings, engineering changes and product configuration. Responsible for Shop floor document control and product assembly manuals. Identify and apply engineering solutions relating to production issues, new processes and technology. Have a quick and prompt analytical response to production emergencies Give both training and technical support on current and new machines and processes. Analysis of data and the production of graphs and progress charts Meeting production and project deadlines Ensure training and re-training of all department personnel is carried out so that the team are fully able to meet their job requirements. This includes knowledge and understanding of work instructions, assembly manuals and other control documents.
