General information Reference 000113 Publication end date 01/07/2020 Close Date 01/07/2020 Vacancy details Job Profile Teaching - Programme Lead Title Head of BSc (Hons) Nursing Programme Contract Type Permanent Job Purpose You will work closely with the Associate Dean for Quality Assurance and NMC Compliance to realise the strategic vision of the School of Nursing to deliver our BSc ( Hons) Nursing and Pre-registration Nursing Associate portfolio. Key Responsibilities: Product Landscape Contribute to the management of the academic content and pedagogy of programmes. Contribute to the recruitment and selection of BSc (Hons) Nursing and Pre-registration Nursing Associate students / apprentices. Liaise with Programme Support Officers. Quality Contribute to the quality monitoring and continuous improvement activity in line with BPP's General Academic Regulations and policies. Contribute to the analysis / quality indicators for programme quality/student performance and monitor and act upon them where necessary. Attended Examination Boards. Attend University wide committees and groups as delegated. Attend School of Nursing, Senior Leadership Meeting. Teaching & Student Support Undertake lecturing appropriate to the level of responsibility of the role. Support student through the completion of academic work. Support student through practice based learning and assessment. Support student who face challenges with progression / completion of their studies. Advise and action student referrals to other University Central support services. Assessments Engage in academic marking. Engage in academic moderation. Moderate Practice Assessment Documentation. Prepare and Support clinical staff as required. General Support academics completing PGCLT & Annotation for NMC Register. Department School of Nursing Vacancy location Location UK, London, London Waterloo Candidate criteria Candidate Criteria Essential -Registered Nurse with Current NMC Registration -First Degree -Postgraduate Degree -Experience of Curriculum Implementation -Teaching Qualification -Mentor Qualification -Marking of work and preparation of results for Exam Boards -Facilitate student evaluation where appropriate -Facilitate student support -Expertise in lecturing and designing modules and programmes -An ability to prioritise your own work and the work of others -Excellent communication skills and a willingness to listen and seek out the opinion of others -Facilitate student feedback to aid learning -Ability to work well as part of a team -High personal standards of accuracy and attention to detail -Strong skills in organisation, coordination, planning, prioritisation, people management and influencing.
