ROLE OVERVIEW: We are experts at games eCommerce, digital marketing, publishing and distribution and have identified an opportunity to promote and maintain a positive image of our company, while ensuring strong online and offline brand presence. We are looking for a Head of PR & Communications to design and implement PR and marketing strategies that cultivate our relationships with media, engage our target audience and boost our brand awareness. You will use your creative ideas to drive PR initiatives that will bring long-term success. You are also interested in writing effective press releases, building online communities, and coordinating events. To maximise brand consistency in all advertising efforts you will coordinate with various internal teams. Working directly for the Chief Marketing Officer but also closely with the CEO, responsibilities span the Green Man Gaming community, Games Industry, and corporate profile. Requirements KEY DELIVERABLES: PR & COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGY & EXECUTION: You have a strong understanding and appreciation of Digital Marketing, Public Relations, and a hunger to build even more experience in this field. You own the overall strategy and represent Green Man Gaming with integrity and knowledge. A natural storyteller, you can harness data to drive marketing success and improve the profile, awareness and perception of Green Man Gaming store and business units in key consumer, influencer, industry, and media sectors. Brand advocate, you can develop and manage messaging matrix, ensuring that all communications and campaigns support this messaging. An experience in optimising digital communications channels and managing social networks and communities. MARKET & AUDIENCE UNDERSTANDING: You source and manage speaking and sponsorship opportunities effectively, commission market research, collate and analyse media coverage. Using your creativity, you can research, write, and distribute press releases, infographics and thought leadership pieces to targeted media. RESULTS DRIVEN MINDSET: Supported by marketing team, you will manage pro-active social outreach, research, and identify key influencers important to GMG store and community and execute programmes to drive positive sentiment. You will plan and execute consumer PR campaigns, ensuring alignment with corporate messaging and company marketing activity with a view to effective outcome. WE NEED: GAMING AND CONSUMER MEDIA KNOWLEDGE: You are well connected in the gaming industry and naturally build and manage relationships with the key gaming and consumer media. COMMUNICATION: You will need to be extremely eloquent, a clear communicator & presenter, comfortable with internal & external stakeholder management & can provide regular updates to senior management. INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE: You have an international campaign experience, working in an agile, fast paced commercial environment. ORGANISED: You are happy working independently and willing to roll your sleeves up if needed, you can prioritize effectively across a wide set of workstreams and deliver flexibly to tight deadlines where necessary.
