This role is part of the Global Factory Operations capability where we deliver value to our operations sites by executing our key manufacturing systems strategy. You will be working globally with our manufacturing sites and business process owners as well as colleagues in the Operations IT organisation. What you'll do We continue to mature on our digital transformation journey, and we are implementing foundational MES systems including Parsec TrakSys for Manufacturing Intelligence (MI) and OSI PI for Enterprise and Site Historians. You will work with both of these platforms, and as a catalyst in the deployments to sites in the AZ Supply Network you will have an outstanding opportunity to craft the business benefits delivered by these platforms. You will: * Work with the Global System Owners for TrakSYS and PI Historian as well as the Global Business Process Owners * Serve as business analyst on deployment projects identifying business requirements, adhering to standards, and ensuring that the technical solution will deliver the agreed business benefits. * Develop high-quality business cases together with the business for deployment and expansion of the platforms, to increase maturity and achieve desired benefit in growing operational efficiency, improving data integrity, and providing foundational data to process improvement and sophisticated analytics efforts. * Develop and improve standards and processes for implementing, maintaining and improving the platforms Essential The role demands experience of business analysis, delivering through matrix global teams across Operations and IT, requiring highly effective communication and influencing skills, experience of global working, and significant credibility in Manufacturing Intelligence, Data Historian and integrations with plant-floor systems (knowledge of automation, process control is preferred) * Knowledge of manufacturing environments with specific experience of e.g. Manufacturing Execution Systems, Manufacturing Intelligence/ Overall Equipment Effectiveness tools, Historian. * Demonstrable experience of successfully deploying tools/techniques to enable business change, including requirements management * Strong engagement, communication and stakeholder management skills, including excellent presentation skills * Experience of complex integrated systems, using creative and critical thinking to deliver outstanding results * Experience of working in a global organisation using virtual teamwork to lead, shape and develop innovative solutions Desirable * Basic understanding of and interest in manufacturing automation, e.g. PLC, SCADA, DCS and integration standards, for example OPC * Practical usage of Lean and/or Agile Methodology * Pharmaceutical business awareness/business domain knowledge * Degree in relevant field or formal certification in business analysis practice * User Centred Design (User Experience, User Interface Design and Business Process Design) Why AstraZeneca?
