An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our multi disciplined Estates Team. The post holder will have served a recognized electrical apprenticeship and ideally be a multi skilled having experience in building services installations including a good understanding of mechanical building services . The post holder will be based within the Capital, Estates and Facilities Directorate's Maintenance Service department on the Prestwich site and will be required to travel to other sites throughout the Trusts estate. We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic and flexible individual who will carry out the position of Maintenance Electrician providing a high quality planned, reactive and emergency maintenance service throughout the Trusts estate as part of the Estates Maintenance Team. The Capital, Estates and Facilities Directorate consider this to be a key position and are looking for someone with real passion for the role to provide well maintained buildings for the ultimate benefit of the clients and staff. The post holder will be required to undertake supervised and unsupervised routine maintenance and repair work of a wide and varied spectrum of maintenance management. The role of Maintenance Electrician will provide support to the operational managers throughout the Trust and be fully committed to providing a seamless maintenance service ensuring a safe, efficient and well maintained estate. Applicants will be required to be fully knowledgeable in all aspects of maintenance, and have a general understanding of maintenance work procedures within a healthcare environment gained through on the job training and general experience. In addition to excellent communication and inter-personal skills, together with the ability to work as part of a team to undertake a wide range of tasks and to comply with reasonable requests and instructions in order to accommodate the maintenance needs of our customers.
