Our client is looking for Maintenance Mechanical Fitter

Requirements

Minimum General Certificate of Education (GCE) / Diploma and/or related experience in Mechanical Maintenance within a recognized industry.

A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience.

Hold a current Guyana Car Driver’s License.

Experience within a mining environment or heavy industry.

Exposure to industrial and/or commercial civil and mining equipment including Light Vehicles (LV).

Extensive knowledge of fuel and power systems in a capacity of diesel power plants.

Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, legal regulations, and guidelines.

Telecommunication experience with termination of cabling and network troubleshooting.

Ability to interpret detailed mechanical engineering drawings. Basic fabrication skills.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance on all site equipment for appropriate performance and to OEM standards.

Perform maintenance, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.

Adjust equipment, repair and/or replace defective parts, components, or systems with the use of hand and power tools.

Able to read, understand and apply information from technical manuals, prints, and schematics for troubleshooting and repair.

Perform scheduled and unscheduled repair work on all site vehicles/equipment.

Assist with providing consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to fixed/mobile equipment or vehicle users.

Prepare mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
