If you believe you can make a difference to people's lives, supporting them on their journey towards independence, then we want to hear from you. We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our Young People's Pathway Service as a Peer Support Worker! The role of Peer Support Worker is an exciting new addition to the service! You will offer intensive, targeted, time limited support to our clients supporting them to make positive steps towards independent living. Due to the nature of the role, we are looking for candidates with lived (own) experience of any of the following: care leaver, overcoming substance misuse issues, homelessness/risk of homelessness in the past, breakdown of family relationships or a history of offending. Good communications skills and the ability to build rapport with young people aged 16-25 will ensure your success in this post. You will provide 1:1 support for a caseload of clients across Selby, Richmond and Hambleton, therefore a full UK driving licence and access to a car is vital.
