A Customer Engineer is responsible for the undertaking of preventative maintenance, scheduled and emergency remedial works, on Vertiv and third party equipment. This is a field based role offering considerable independence and you will be working within a regional structure although you will be required to work away from home when required. We provide excellent in-house training programs for our staff based from our UK and overseas training centers and offer excellent professional growth opportunities Responsibilities * To undertake planned maintenance of both Vertiv equipment and 3rd party equipment; * To be available for participation in the Emergency on-call rota; * TECHNICAL : To appropriately and professionally respond to all requests for assistance; * SAFETY : To asses and control all risks (health, safety and environmental) identified for all standard activities and premises; * ADMINISTRATION : Provide accurate and timely reporting according to company guidelines (timesheets, expense reports, mileage reports, debriefing); * CUSTOMER SATISFACTION : Provide proper and adequate communication to internal and external customers; * PERFORMANCE : Complete all work in an efficient and timely manner and maintain good communication and team working with all Managers and Colleagues. Experience (one or more of the following): * NVQ level 1 & 2 or equivalent in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning or BTEC or relevant time served experience; * City in Guilds 2078 or 2079 in Refrigerant Safe Handling, Subscribed to ACRIB; * Computer Literate; * Previous experience in this role; * Excellent customer service skills, presentable and professional at all time; * Self-starter, ability to plan effectively, organize, and manage time effectively; * Full valid driving license; Technical skills * Strong bias on fault finding; * Self motivated and capable of working under own initiative; * Maintenance processes. Strong skill sets required * Communication; * Customer service - in potentially stressful situations; * Fully IT Conversant; * Organizational and planning; * Leadership.
