We have great fixed term contract opportunities to join us as a Customer Advisor at our offices in Hillington and central Glasgow. You will be helping us process a large volume of work coinciding with the start of the academic year for further education establishments in Northern Ireland and Wales. The Further Education Customer Services Teams (FE CST) administers both the Education Maintenance Allowance schemes (EMA) for Wales and Northern Ireland and the Welsh Government Learning Grant for Further Education for Wales. As a Customer Advisor you'll be working as part of the team that determines students' entitlement to financial support. Your role will involve assessing applications, so that an accurate decision on their eligibility can be made. You'll also be involved in related tasks such as managing changes in student's circumstances and requesting any additional information that's required before a decision can be made. As a Customer Advisor you will provide a first class processing to our customers corresponding via telephone, email and written communication. Previous experience isn't required for this role - what's more important is that you're computer literate and have a high attention to detail , with excellent organisational and communication skills. You should be confident in using Microsoft PC packages including Word and Excel , and ideally hold both Maths and English at standard level or above (or equivalent).
