Job Description In this exciting and multi-faceted role you'll develop and execute a truly impactful content strategy that gives our customers a best in class experience. You'll manage, lead and motivate a range of content and UX specialists, translating the business' commercial objectives into actions for your teams. As both a commercially minded and technical individual, you'll be responsible for strategic thinking and planning as well as implementation. Using your exceptional understanding of what makes e-commerce work, you'll assess the impact of our content both on and off site, including for SEO, identifying and actioning opportunities and risks. User-centric change will be at the heart of everything you and your teams do. You'll be responsible for ensuring our customers can find and interact with product effortlessly whatever device or platform they are using, through continual improvements to the structure, layout and navigability of our website. Data will be the basis of your decisions, and you'll be responsible for developing your teams' abilities to make commercial, effective and actionable conclusions based on multiple data sources, metrics and tools, including Google Analytics. The Head of Content will be a go to e-commerce expert in our business, relied upon for executing effective decisions consistently. Using your outstanding communication, relationship and project management skills, you'll be responsible for promoting e-commerce excellence throughout our business and cascading your content strategy and its implementation across our teams. Key Responsibilities * Ownership and optimisation of content for customer experience across a range of devices and websites * Understanding the business' commercial objectives and priorities and how e-commerce can be used to deliver them * Delivering measurable improvements to content, experience and conversion * Implementing a structured, well understood and scalable process for defining, implementing and measuring the effect of content and experience improvements * Interpreting disparate data sources (including GA and internal sales data), making rational and commercially sound conclusions and presenting them to others * Championing the use of data throughout our web teams, developing them into data wizards that can turn numbers into action * Building business cases for content and customer experience activity to present to senior stakeholders * Making decisions on the layout and presentation of the website based on your understanding of the commercial strategy and objectives of the business * Applying your technical knowledge to all optimisation work, and ensuring SEO is a key consideration throughout * Providing leadership to teams of user experience specialists, content writers, marketers, graphic designers and more * Building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders across the business About you To be successful in your application, please ensure that your experience aligns with the following: * A proven track record of successful content and experience optimisation * An obsession with data * Excellent Google Analytics skills * Knowledge and experience of the latest industry tools to help improve the impact of content and customer experience * Excellent depth of knowledge of SEO * Experience in a leadership role managing multi-disciplined specialist teams * Superb communication skills, providing clear and concise information that gets right to the point * Confident presenting to stakeholders at all levels * Excellent at building and maintaining relationships * Ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple projects at the same time is essential * A technical and analytical approach to problem solving What we offer: * Competitive salary * Generous staff discount on all musical products * Cycle to work scheme * Free car parking * Corporate eye care * Refer a friend scheme * Free flu jabs * Employee Assistance Programme If you would like to further your career with a dynamic, growing company, where you can expect to be rewarded for hard work - please apply today!
