Join us at a pivotal point in our journey to build the future insight and knowledge generation platform for the life sciences industry. We are building our Forward Deployed Team who will work together to build relationships with new customers through initial commercial engagement to long-standing successful partnership on our platform. This role will be a pivotal part of that team, bringing a compelling blend of software engineering experience, up-to-date knowledge of bioinformatics, biology and/or microbiology and excellent communication and relationship building skills. There will be potential to move into a management role as we continue to evolve our customer engagement model. Forward deployed customer engagement : using your in-depth knowledge of biology and/or microbiology and bioinformatics you will engage with scientists about their work, coming to a deep understanding of their requirements and working as a member of the Forward Deployed team to create a compelling case that demonstrates how our platform can enable the prospective customer to digitally reinvent their biological research activities. Onboarding : you will continue the relationship with your customers through onboarding and platform deployment, crafting technical solutions to enable deployment of our product/platform into their environment. Customer success : maintain excellent working relationships with customers, continuing to engage with them as a trusted partner with a deep understanding of their strategic objectives, communicating how our evolving platform can continue to support them. You will also play a vital part in providing insight into our customer's future requirements to our Produce Management team for integration into our product roadmap. Responsibilities * Participate in full cycle of pre-sale activities: direct communications with customers, demonstrations of our platform, proposal and Statement of Work (SOW) preparation, development of proposals for implementation and design of the solution, presentation of proposed solution architecture with the customer and participate in technical meetings with customer representatives * A key member of the project team for delivery of customer deployments * Ensure effective delivery of our solution into the customer environment * Manage customer success criteria, delivering an excellent experience to our customers * Work closely with customers in identifying solution requirements * Create and present solution architecture documents * Understand the functional specifications and the technical capabilities of Eagle Genomics platform to provide solution recommendations based on best practice, user experience and technical capabilities * Contribute to our support documents to ensure theyre clear and accurate, and research and write new content to fill any gaps * Prepare, research and provide input into statement of works * Provide technical input for RFP/RFQs, coordinating with the engineering team as required * Execute proof of concept/value engagement with customers at both a technical and business level to show the value of our products * Input into product roadmap by working closely with our product management, marketing and sales teams to collect and digest user requirements and feedback * Help improve the technical knowledge of our sales team, coaching them on new product developments * Excellent understanding of our product roadmap and ability to translate that understanding to customers and feedback Requirements * Minimum Masters level education in Biology, other Life Sciences, Software Engineering, Bioinformatics or a related field, or equivalent experience * Significant demonstrable experience as a Solution Architect or similar role with core technical skills in software applications * Experience of successful delivery of software designs for modern software applications * Experience of solutions architecture concepts * Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud and IBM * Demonstrable success of building durable customer relationships across the customer journey * Ability to simply and clearly communicate technical design in conversation, documentation and presentation * Ability to make effective decisions within fast-moving delivery * Active participation in knowledge sharing activities * Experience of proactively developing business across an account with sales and account managers * Ability to prioritise your time across multiple major projects Benefits * 25 days annual leave (rising annually to 28) * Private medical insurance and health cash plan * Live cover insurance (3x annual salary) * Cycle to work scheme * Group Personal Plan scheme contribution * Employee share option scheme * Enhanced Maternity, Paternity, Adoption and Shared Parental Leave * Support for continuous professional development
