Your team Pictet Alternative Advisors SA is the Pictet Group's wholly owned entity responsible for investments in hedge funds, private equity and real estate. Since 1991 Pictet Alternative Advisors has constructed, managed and advised on portfolios of alternative investment solutions for institutional and private clients. Pictet Alternative Advisors employs 85 alternative investment specialists and manages over $27 billion (as at 30 June 2019). Pictet Alternative Advisors SA has recently hired a team of top-calibre senior investment professionals led by Zsolt Kohalmi, previously Head of European Acquisitions at Starwood Capital, with the objective of developing a best-in-class direct private equity real estate (PERE) platform. The Group has strong development ambitions for Pictet Alternative Advisors for the coming years, notably to expand its product offering to include additional asset classes and to further develop its institutional client base. In view of these developments, Pictet Alternative Advisors is looking to hire talented junior investment professionals to contribute to the success of the team. This position will report to the Head of Acquisitions - Real Estate and will be based in London. Your role * Supporting a team of five senior investment professionals spread across various locations: Spain, Sweden, the UK and Germany with a focus on the Nordics. * Performing in-depth industry, market and competitor research. * Performing physical and financial analysis and feasibility studies for major strategic decisions or potential new projects. * Assisting with the completion of due diligence and underwriting on a variety of real estate asset classes including office, residential, student/senior living, logistics, industrial, retail and hotels. * Supporting the origination, diligence, structuring, negotiation, execution and disposal of real estate transactions across Europe. * Supporting the team with asset management analysis for invested assets. * Preparing investment briefings and memorandums for the senior members of the team. * Contributing to the decision-making process as part of a small and flat team. Your profile * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics or Accounting, or an equivalent qualification from a top-ranked university. * One to two years of previous experience in real estate (or related sectors), acquired either through an investment bank or a high-calibre private equity firm with proven exposure to investment due diligence processes. * Very strong analytical / logical thinking skills. * Excellent financial modelling skills. * Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills. * Entrepreneurially minded with an ability to work independently. * Excellent command of English and a Nordic language. Any additional European language is considered as a plus.
