Job Description

Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent practical experience. + Experience in financial planning, budgeting and forecasting within the consumer hardware industry with a focus on cost structure management. + Financial or analytical experience at a multinational, in management consulting, real estate, investment banking, finance, or similar environment. Preferred qualifications: + FP&A, financial modeling, planning, forecasting, budgeting and/or project management experience. + Ability to self-direct work in an unstructured environment and deal with ambiguity. + Ability to motivate colleagues and collaborate effectively to influence senior leadership. + Excellent presentation skills. Financial Analysts ensure that Google makes sound financial decisions. Your work, whether it's modeling business scenarios or tracking performance metrics, is used by our leaders to make strategic company decisions. Our Financial Analysts are up to date with the latest economic and industry trends and apply knowledge around rates of return and investment performance to the projects at hand. As a Financial Analyst you will partner with the Real Estate and Workplace Services team across EMEA and India, helping them operate our building footprint, make investment decisions, and manage operating and capital expenses. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business. + Support management decisions including forecasting of space requirements, measuring productivity of key sites and evaluating real estate spend investments. + Manage large opex and capex budgets, including PO approvals and process improvements. + Lead forecasting and reporting and assist in defining company spending targets. + Partner cross-functionally to deliver strategic projects.
